Nancy shared the following:
"I am extremely excited about the opportunity
to interpret the history of Sand Creek! I bring with me experience in
interpretive planning, and Native consultation and interpretation.
I’m a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
My husband David and I, have two kittens; the
"kids" were born in Alaska.
All four of us love the outdoors.
I started my career with the National Park
Service at Grand Canyon NP in 1982. I also worked in Arches NP,
Canyonlands NP, Dinosaur NM, Colorado NM. I was the Interpretive
Specialist for the Alaska Region before serving as the Chief of
Interpretation at Fort Smith NHS, AR/OK.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and
Park Management with a special emphasis in Interpretation, and a minor
in Geography from the University of Wyoming, in Laramie, WY.

Certifier for the NPS Interpretive Development
Program Since 1994, an active member of the National Association for
Interpretation
