ANNUAL NORTHERN ARAPAHO DANCE PERFORMANCE AND POT LUCK SUPPER SCHEDULED To initiate the Third Annual Northern Arapaho Sand Creek Massacre Spiritual Healing Run, Northern Arapaho tribal dancers will treat Kiowa County community members to a dance performance at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 28 at the Community Building at the Kiowa County Fairgrounds. As in past years, a pot luck supper will be held to welcome the runners. A large group of about 60 to 70 Northern Arapaho runners, elders, and support crew is expected. Following the supper and dance performance, several teams of Northern Arapaho youth, both boys and girls, are looking forward to playing a few quarters of basketball with Kiowa County youth. Please bring a pot luck dish and join the festivities!
Community members are also invited to attend the beginning of the Spiritual Healing Run from the Sand Creek Massacre Site to Estes, Park Colorado on Friday morning, July 29. More details about the run will be provided by the Northern Arapaho organizers during super on the 28th.
