  Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site will hold a public meeting on the development of the General Management Plan (GMP) on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kiowa County Courthouse in Eads.

 The comprehensive general management plan will provide the framework for making management decisions about the preservation of natural and cultural resources, visitor use and interpretation, and development of the appropriate park facilities. Public comment is very important as the National Park Service develops alternative strategies for the future management of this very significant site.
